I no longer spend time doing things when my kids are not home that they could help with. 

Yes, laundry may take twice as long with their 'help', but a couple things happen when they are around for laundry time.

1. They learn how to sort colors, learn how to fold, and learn how to put things away neatly in their drawers. 

2. I am much more productive during the time I have while my kids are not home (or awake) on the things that need real focus.

That quiet time without the noise is the time to power through the things that need creativity, planning, growing and learning.

So do the laundry with the family and make it an activity that’s part of their routine.
